The road to fitness and confidence

 

Welcome to the website of Taran Tek Taekwon-Do.

Taran Tek TKD was formed in 2007 by students of the popular and well established Billy Thomson's Truro Taekwon-Do club in Cornwall.

We operate 3 clubs:

Truro (Archbishop Benson School)

St Newlyn East

Trispen


We have a large compliment of Black Belts including 8 UKGT (United Kingdom Global Taekwon-Do) registered instructors 1st - 5th Dan. The lead instructors for the three clubs all have an up to date enhanced DBS check available to view on request.

What is Taekwon-Do all about

We practice ITF Taekwon-Do along with additional groundwork, self defence and all round fitness. We have an excellent track record in competition, both local and national and are members of the UKGT run by Senior Master Sahota 8th degree.

Participation

Taran Tek TKD is a family orientated club and Taekwon-Do is a great learning activity for children. Lessons are tailored to your child's age and skill level. Your child begins by practicing basic patterns and forms, kicking, blocking, striking, and hand techniques.

These fundamental skills increase your child's physical coordination, flexibility, balance, and mental acumen. Taekwon-Do develops your child's athletic abilities and self-awareness, and improves their capabilities in self-defence.
