About 3 months into your 4th Kup you are exactly at the half-way point in your quest to become a black belt. This also means that you have 6 months inbetween gradings. Adult students will be encouraged to participate in breaking techniques at gradings. This may seem a little daunting at first, but work on your technique over the 6 month period and you will find it surprisingly easy to break come the big day.
Grading Pattern - Joong-Gun
Joong Gun is named after the patriot An Joong Gun, who assassinated Hiro Bumo Ito, the first Japanese governor general of Korea; known as the man who played the leading part in the Japan /Korea merger. The 32 movements refer to Mr. Ahn’s age when he was executed at Lui Shung prison in 1910.
